This is a list of useful equipment when diving the wrecks beneath the surface of the Great Lakes. Our dive family uses this list as they prepare for one of our scuba diving trip on the Great Lakes.
- Current Passport and Visa if Traveling to Canada
- Full Exposure Suit for 45-55ºF Water. A 7mm Wetsuit or Drysuit with Thermals. Including Hood, Gloves, and Boots.
- Mask
- Snorkel
- Fins
- Buoyancy Compensating Device (BCD) with power inflator
- Regulator set with primary and alternate air source designed for operation in cold water
- Instruments: Depth Gauge, Submersible Pressure Gauge, Compass, Watch, Bottom Timer or Personal Dive Computer
- Weight Belt, Integrated Weight Pouches, and Weights**
- Filled cylinder for Number of Dives on the Boat Trip**
- Whistle, Dive Alert, or other Audible Surface Signaling Device
- DSMB or SMB
- Dive Knife or Cutting Tool
- Mesh Gear Bag for use on Boat. No Hard Sided Bags on Boat
